While the weather section may not show temperatures dropping just yet, if you’ve checked the news lately, you know that fall has officially come early this year. No, not literally—but in the world of snacks and fast food, it may as well be mid-October already. If Punxsutawney Phil not seeing his shadow is a harbinger that spring is coming early, then the autumnal version of that is the pumpkin spice latte returning to coffee chains in August.
Just last week, Starbucks’ PSL returned to stores, and now, as of Aug. 28, fall has officially arrived at Dunkin’, too. And while it’s true that America runs on pumpkin, the PSL isn’t even the most exciting drink on Dunkin’s fall menu.
Dunkin’s New Fall 2024 Drink Menu
Let’s get right to it: yes, Dunkin’s beloved Pumpkin Spice Signature Latte is back. The pumpkin spiced drink is available in both hot or iced versions, and is made with espresso, milk, sweet pumpkin and vanilla flavors, and fall spices, then topped with whipped cream, caramel drizzle, and cinnamon sugar.
In addition to the returning Pumpkin Spice Signature Latte, Dunkin’ has two brand-new beverages joining the menu.
First up is the new Dunkin’ Almond Spice Coffee, an iced or hot drink made with Dunkin’s Original Blend coffee, sweet pumpkin and toasted almond flavors, and almond milk. Personally, as a fan of all things almond, I could not be more excited for this drink, which dares to think outside the same old pumpkin-spiced box.
The second drink is one that will certainly excite some New Englanders—but not the Bostonians that Dunkin’ typically caters to. According to a press release, Dunkin’s new Dunkalatte “isn’t just any latte—it’s the Dunkalatte.” What’s a Dunkalatte, you ask? It’s a coffee milk latte that combines espresso with a secret ingredient: coffee milk. For the uninitiated, Coffee Milk is Rhode Island’s (unofficial) official state beverage. Dunkin’s coffee milk is made with whole milk and Dunkin’s very own coffee extract.
So what does a Dunkalatte taste like? “An ultra-smooth drink that sips like a latte and tastes like a melty milkshake,” according to the press release. Color me intrigued—and if you are too, there’s good news. Word on the street is this isn’t the only iteration of the Dunkalatte we’re getting, so stay tuned.
Dunkin’s Fall 2024 Food Menu
What goes better with all those drinks than some fall-themed food? The full Dunkin’ pumpkin lineup is back, including the Pumpkin Cake Donut, Pumpkin Munchkins, and the Pumpkin Muffin.
But stealing the spotlight is the Apple Cider Donut, which is making its much-requested return to Dunkin’ menus nationwide for the first time since 2021. The following fall favorites are also coming back for the season:
- Maple Sugar Bacon Breakfast Sandwich: A croissant breakfast sandwich made with maple sugar bacon, a fried egg, and white Cheddar cheese. You can also enjoy Dunkin’s Maple Sugar Snackin’ Bacon on its own or in the Maple Sugar Bacon Wake-Up Wrap.
- Loaded Hash Browns: Crispy hash browns topped with warm Cheddar queso and crumbled bacon.
- Banana Chocolate Chip Loaf: A slice of banana bread studded with mini chocolate chips, pre-packaged to take on the go.
And there’s one more piece of good news coming to Dunkin’ this fall.
